How to measure your bra size

1

Determine Band Size

  • Stand up straight with your arms on each side.
  • Hold the tape measure parallel to the floor and measure your rib cage from back to front, just below your breast.
  • The tape should rest against the rib cage loosely.
  • Make sure the ribbon is placed straight horizontally at the back.
  • Measure the rib cage just below the breast. Round to the nearest even number.
  • If the number is even, add four inches. If it's odd, add five. The sum of this addition will give you the size of the bra band. (So if you measure 32 inches your band size is 36. If you measure 33 inches your band size is 38.)

  • Hold the tape measure parallel to the floor and measure around the chest at the tip of the breasts from back to front.
  • Hold the tape firmly, making sure it does not pinch or is too tight.
  • Make sure the tape is placed straight horizontally at the back.

Find your cup size

1 "= A 7 "= G
2 "= B 8 "= H
3 "= C 9 "= J
4 "= D 10 "= K
5 "= E 11 "= L
6 "= F
  • Subtract the tape measurement from the bust measurement.
  • Then use this simple bra size chart to find the cup measurement.
